At Riley’s Retreat, lake life comes easy. Spend your days soaking in the sunshine, tying up your boat (rentals available just 4 miles south), or unwinding by the firepit as the sky fades over Seneca Lake. Inside, you’ll find a bright, open space with expansive water views from nearly every angle, plus the comfort of central A/C and heat for every season.

Tucked just below the private parking area (space for 4+ vehicles), the home sits about 35 steps down, offering a peaceful, elevated vantage point right on the water.

THE SPACE
Our 1,300 sq ft lakefront cottage is designed for connection, comfort, and those “windows-open, lake-breeze” kind of days.

The home features four semi-private sleeping spaces with dividing walls and curtains (no traditional doors), all connected by a shared vaulted ceiling that keeps the space feeling open and airy.

The primary bedroom (king) and port room (double) both open directly onto the balcony with stunning lake views
The queen bedroom is located, also on the second floor and offers a cozy, semi-private sleeping space separated by a curtain similar to the primary
The twin beds are located in an open loft-style space connected to the second-floor landing (please see photos for layout)
The main level offers an open-concept living space with direct access to the yard and dock

This layout makes Riley’s Retreat feel relaxed, communal, and perfect for families or close groups looking to spend meaningful time together.

Access to the home includes approximately 35 steps down from the parking area
The home draws water from the lake; it is filtered but not purified, so we recommend bringing bottled drinking water

We now offer WiFi, making it easy to stay connected if needed—whether for remote work, streaming, or keeping in touch.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

Rates vary by season to reflect the unique experiences each time of year offers in Stowe, from peak ski season to fall foliage and summer adventures. Pricing may also adjust based on demand, holidays, and local events. We always aim to offer fair, thoughtful pricing that reflects both the experience and the value of your stay.
